Scan projects for unwanted VST's

MessageAuthor

Does anyone know of a way to scan your project files for specific plugins? I want to get rid of a few unnecessary reverb plugs, but would like to know which projects this will affect - I'll have to go and put a new verb plug on it. Please someone tell me I don't have to manually go through all my projects... please...

OSX: searching finder for plugin will bring up all related Reaper projects. I suggest searching for the plugin, then add the filter "Name

Thanks for the replies. Yea, I'm on a PC. I'll see what I can do with the windows indexing service. Didn't know the RPP files are text. That helps a lot.

Just in case anyone reads this post sometime in the future, there's a great little program called "Harddisk Search". Get it at . It's free. Very easy to use to search just the ".rpp" files for anything you want. I had trouble trying to get the search running smooth in XP taylored to this. Hope it helps someone! ~Quest~
