Every time I add a new track in Reaper, it automatically loads EZDrummer in the FX of that new track. If I'm adding a few tracks at a time, this can be time consuming. It seems there must be an easy way to "turn this off", but I have not been able to find it. Does anyone know the fix?
Unload the plugins? If I do this they will not be useable, right? That sounds risky to me. I wouldn't know how to unload them anyway. In fact, I have no idea what that even means. Maybe something a little less scary?
Every time I open a new track in Reaper, it automatically loads with EZDrummer in the FX. Does anyone know how to correct this problem?

Create a new track. Click on FX to open window. Select the EZDrummer that's been loaded and hit Remove at the bottom of the FX window. Now from menu select FX/Save chain as default for new tracks. Hey presto! Steve

Slipstick, thanks much for the detailed instructions. That worked out great. And since this is my first time posting to this forum (or any forum for that matter), and I don't know the rules of the road around here yet, thank you also for not talking down to me. I appreciate your help.
Dont forget to download a copy of the manual and kind familiarize yourself with it. Page 42 and 43 had ya covered. I realize that at first you don't even know what to look for in the manual but it doesn't hurt to poke around and see if you can find an answer in there. It will get easier to navigate with some practice. It's a well done user guide really. good luck
