AXIOM 49 and Pro tools LE 8.0.4

Hello there...I Bought pro tools with an M Box 2 about a month ago and decided to go ahead and buy the axiom 49 (thinking i wanted something that was up there in the level of professional or compatible with my new software) little did i know i been having such a hard time getting the axiom to work on pro tools..it works with fruity loops it also works with Ableton, just not with pro tools.i have done my research and tried everything from reinstalling pro tools and the axiom 49 .enabling the slave 127 thing everything but when i click on Input and output it just says NONE and in midi studio set up it also says NONE.how can i get it to find it? FL studio and Ableton actually find it in the Input midi and output thing..why i is it so hard to install it when they both come from the same company almost?? is there a reason or something im doing wrong?

are you trying to control things in Pro Tools like the faders and transport or just to use with VI's? And what OS? PC or MAC? Is it hooked up via USB or MIDI cables? I have an Axiom 61 and it works fine. just set it up in midi controllers, set the axiom to Program 20 and your good. Of course i have the "old" version, the new version is supposed to be easier to use in PT.

I also have the Axiom 49 and can say everything works fine, I dont use the preset 20 but my own that i created with the enigma software. Also someone else here at the forums posted a template for PT8 see

Well i Have Windows Vista 64 bits, is plugged USB. I would like to use it for both reasons but really for now i would like to use it to make music like to use the mini grand and stuff.ill worry about the controls at a later time.the only thing is that when i try to choose the axiom 49 in the controllers as in import and outport it is not there. it just says "NONE" not recognized at all.so to have it play an instrument only what do i do? i know it has to atleast show up in pro tools right? like somewhere i can click axiom 49 as the midi controller or is it just plug and play?

When i get home because i am currently at work i will try that template thing out. but my issue is that im confused with is that in fruity loops i can choose my axiom as the "midi in" but in pro tools it just says "None".

i looked at the guys pro tools enigma template thing i copied and pasted this . "''""Then in MIDI Controllers Section, select MAudioKeyboard Port 1 for both Send and Receive, it should now work.""""" When i go to Midi controllers sections i See M audio axiom 49 but in send and receive it just says "NONE" when i try and exit it says i have to select send and recieve but its just NONE

This is the same thing that happens to me: "Enabled" on MIDI control remote (slave)> Midi controllers> then in the #1 line, under type, I just see none, HUI, Motor Mix, and M-audio keyboard.> So I chose M-audio keyboard> then under the "receive from" I only get the "none" under the down list so I left that to none> then under the "send to" I dont know what to choose, so i chose mini grand (its what i opened up in my instrument track> and i dont know what to choose for the #Ch's tab. It just has the number 8. So then i push ok then it give me a error saying this "you must assign a midi port to receive from for midi controller #1, or change its type to none". Well under my receive from tab i only get the option to choose "none". Everytime I push ok, it give me the same error.

well here's how I setup my Axiom 61. Plug it in via USB, dont need to download any drivers for it since im on Windows 7 64 bit. The Drivers load automatically. In Pro Tools, go to: SETUP> Peripherals. Click the MIDI CONTROLLERS tab. if this is your only controller, the go to line #1. Type, M-Audio Keyboard. Receive From: AXIOM 61. Send to: AXIOM 61. #CH's: 8 click OK, and you are done. set your Axiom to preset 20 and everything should work. No need for Enigma.

Thanks it seems easy but the only problem i have is that in "Type" it does say M audio keyboard but in send and recieve my Axiom does not show up or anything at all..just ""NONE"" I know that the axiom is installed because i am using it in FL studio. i Have Vista 64 bit. Pro tools 8.0.3 with the 8.0.4 upgrade axiom drivers is the ones for regular axiom 49(not 2nd gen) to windows vista

I have an Axiom 49 anda Profire 2626 interface. I bought a ProTools M-POwered 8.0.3 and then, download the 8.0.4 Update. I configure the Axiom like a Control surface with the preset 20 and it works for two weeks. one day it doesn't work any more. I just open a season who need reason on rewire. Now i download the Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.5 Update but it doesn't work. What can i possibly do about that? Is important to me mix with the Axiom 49 Faders because i don't have any other type control sufrece for now Thnks for all the possible support :confused:
